Bloggers’ code of conduct
Definitions and description of the services
─ The teachers of La Petite Camargue Comprehensive School (France) who are in charge of the Comenius project Cultural and gastronomic rendez-vous, have created an e-community.
─ the e-community is composed of 8 blogs : each school is given a blog within the e-community, and a commun blog will receive the final work ; all blogs are connected to each others (they are friends) ;
─ any person who takes part to our Comenius project is called an “user” as a member of the e-community created by Lansargues Comprehensive school ; that person can be a pupil or a teacher from the schools that are parteners, the webmaster of the e-community or the writer of an article (a writer can be a group of pupils) ;
─ only the users of the e-community can be writers of articles (editors) ; the public has nothing to do but read ;
the teachers from the school(s) in each country are in charge of their blogs, and have to teach their pupils how to use it and how to cope with security and the e-community Bloggers’ code of conduct ;
─ as usual, a blog (contraction of webblog) is an online site that allows differents kinds of publication to be published . The ability for readers to leave public or private comments in an interactive format is an important part of our blogs ;
─ the staff of Lansargues Comprehensive School (France) who are in charge of the Comenius project Cultural and gastronomic rendez-vous, are as the “managers” (webmasters) of the e-community they have created, responsible for every single piece of information that is published. They will control what is published and will inform their colleagues if necessary when misunderstanding or misbehaviour.
Protection of the child
Children must be protected against people who could harm or exploit them. Therefore no information that could help identify them are to be given when editing blog-articles and comments allowed on the blogs, that is to say :
─ no family names ;
─ no personal addresses ;
─ no personal email addresses ;
─ no personal blogaddresses ;
─ no personnal telephone numbers ;
─ no information about their families ;
─ no signatures.
Items which are forbidden on the e-community
─ Any form of violence : obscene, threatening, blasphemy, defamation, vicious threats ;
─ any call or aim to discrimination or racism ;
─ any form of brainwashing : religious, political and commercial.
Therefore, the teachers partners of the e-community must not allow any kind of unconditional free speech.
Agreements
Agreements are to be asked to the parents or the person responsible for the child (parental responsability) when publishing/editing on the e-community
─ any photo representing the child ;
─ any school-work (paintings, photos, videos, sounds, articles, any creative work);
Copyrights
Agreements are to be asked to the authors when copying photos, texts, videos.
